Jesus Teaches Nicodemus

3Now there was a Pharisee, a man named Nicodemus(A) who was a member of the Jewish ruling quango.(B) 2He came to Jesus at night and said, "Rabbi,(C) we know(D) that you are a teacher who has come up from God. For no one could perform the signs(Eastward) you are doing if God were non with him."(F)

3Jesus replied, "Very truly I tell you, no one tin can run into the kingdom of God unless they are born once more.[a]"(1000)

4"How tin can someone be born when they are one-time?" Nicodemus asked. "Surely they cannot enter a second time into their mother's womb to be born!"

5Jesus answered, "Very truly I tell you, no one tin enter the kingdom of God unless they are built-in of water and the Spirit.(H) 6Flesh gives nascence to flesh, only the Spirit[b] gives birth to spirit.(I) sevenYou should not be surprised at my proverb, 'You[c] must be born again.' viiiThe wind blows wherever it pleases. Y'all hear its sound, but you cannot tell where information technology comes from or where it is going. So information technology is with anybody built-in of the Spirit."[d] (J)

9"How tin this be?"(K) Nicodemus asked.

10"You are Israel's instructor,"(50) said Jesus, "and do you lot non understand these things? elevenVery truly I tell you, we speak of what we know,(One thousand) and we bear witness to what we have seen, simply still yous people do non take our testimony.(N) 12I have spoken to you of earthly things and y'all do not believe; how then volition y'all believe if I speak of heavenly things? 13No i has ever gone into sky(O) except the one who came from sky(P)—the Son of Man.[e] (Q) 14Only equally Moses lifted upwards the snake in the wilderness,(R) and so the Son of Man must be lifted up,[f] (S) fifteenthat anybody who believes(T) may have eternal life in him."[one thousand] (U)

16For God then loved(Five) the globe that he gave(W) his one and only Son,(X) that whoever believes(Y) in him shall not perish only have eternal life.(Z) 17For God did non send his Son into the globe(AA) to condemn the earth, but to save the world through him.(AB) 18Whoever believes in him is not condemned,(AC) just whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have non believed in the name of God's one and only Son.(Advertizement) 19This is the verdict: Lite(AE) has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil.(AF) twentyEveryone who does evil hates the low-cal, and will not come up into the light for fear that their deeds will be exposed.(AG) 21But whoever lives by the truth comes into the light, so that information technology may be seen apparently that what they take done has been done in the sight of God.
