Starting from November 12, through January 12th, see the River Walk all lit up. The fantastic light display is free and open to the public except for during special events. Boat tours are also available for a fee. Lights are on from dusk to dawn. We recommend you not miss San Antonio Riverwalk Christmas lights, as this is one of the most beautiful displays in town.

The Alamo

The Alamo is always free- and donations always accepted! Take advantage of the extended hours (until 7 pm) during the holiday season and see the grounds adorned with lights. The Alamo Lights will be up starting Friday November 19th to Monday January 3rd.

Dinosaurs, space shuttles, and giant pickup trucks! The wacky lit exhibitions alone should be enough to justify a trip to New Braunfels. Take a mile or so of winding country roads via Santa's Ranch. More than 1.5 million lights are a-glowing in animated, custom-made displays.

You never know what kind of light show will appear around the next bend. Is this a nativity scene? Angels in a choir? Is it possible that you're an alien? Is he a cowboy? At Santa's Ranch, anything is possible.

This family, staff, and even the neighbors all seem to enjoy this Christmas custom.

Once you're in, stop by the concession stand for traditional treats like hot cocoa and kettle corn.

Santa's Ranch is open now through Jan. 2, 2022. Visit from 6-10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 6-11 p.m. Friday through Saturday. Cost is $35 per car or $70 for a one-car season pass. Trailers, limos, RVs, and buses are not allowed because they wouldn't be able to navigate the winding turns.

This holiday haven is at Enchanted Springs Ranch in Boerne, northwest of San Antonio. If you love the Old West, then this one's for you. Old West Christmas Light Fest has more than 40 Old West buildings decorated with more than 3 million Christmas lights.

Upon entering Old West Christmas Light Fest, you drive through some lights, including a tunnel. They didn't have cars in the Old West, though, so the Christmasy town is an in-person experience. Walk through and see all of the lights and special decorations up close!

Plus, Old West Christmas Light Fest has many other activities, including new attractions this year like Christmas escape rooms, cookie decorating classes, and even laser tag. Yes, you heard me, LASER TAG among the Christmas lights. Giddy up!

Santa and his Jolly Herd of Texas Longhorns will be on Enchanted Springs Ranch every night the Old West Christmas Light Fest is open (except Christmas Eve and Christmas, because they'll be delivering gifts across Texas and then resting)

Tickets are $15/adult, $10/military and first responder, and $10/children age six and up. Children five and under are free. Family packs for five people are $60.

Old West Lights Fest is open on specific days between Thursday through Nov. 25 through Dec. 24, 2021.

Natural Bridge Caverns

The Natural Bridge Caverns are a short drive out of San Antonio city limits. This one-of-a-kind Christmas celebration includes Caroling in the Caverns, a hayride, The Amaze'n Reindeer Roundup, canopy zip lines, Christmas lights, and more. Entrance fees begin at $14 and are always cheaper when you purchase in advance.

Open through January 1st, you can sip- n- shop, get photos with Cowboy Kringle, and more in Gruene. Downtown is decorated to the nines, open to the public every night.

Boerne

Boerne is home to several Christmas events throughout the season. Unfortunately, Dickens on Main and Weinachts Parade are canceled this year. But hopefully there will still be Christmas Market Days and more great fun for kids! You can even just drive down Main Street and check out the lights for free.

Downtown New Braunfels is adorned with lights galore. This year there will be a virtual tree lighting on November 20th at 6:15 pm. Strolling around downtown is free!
